XML Output

Overview

NetInventory can write results to a XML file, which can then be processed by other tools. The file contains all data which is being collected by the program.
More information about the structure of the data being written can be found in the file Database.chm.

XML data

Data from one PC is enclosed within <NewDataSet> and </NewDataSet>, and contains all information which is also displayed in the main window of the GUI when the audit process is complete. To get an overview of the contained data fields, please refer to the database documentation.

Note: All time values in the XML files are UTC values. The format of UTC values output by Collector is specified in the Glossary.
